Oliver is an undergraduate student at IU studying Human Biology and Biomedical Anthropology. After graduation, he plans on either working for the Peace Corps in Central America or pursuing a master’s degree in Conservation Biology at the University of Wellington in New Zealand before attending medical school.
Oliver has been leading trips and programs at IUOA since spring of 2017 and also has extensive experience facilitating professional group development sessions, instructing university backpacking and canoeing courses, and working as a naturalist / guide in Quetico Provincial Park for the Voyageur Wilderness Programme. He led an IUOA hiking and paddling spring break trip to the Smoky Mountains as well as guided several canoe expeditions into Quetico. His favorite outdoor trip is between hiking in Yosemite National Park during the winter and backpacking part of the Pacific Crest Trail in British Columbia.
He is Wilderness First Responder / CPR certified and also enjoys downhill / cross country skiing, rock / ice climbing, and playing the guitar. See less... Show more
