Featured Course

Through novels and short stories, we will explore stories of immigrants, refugees, and returnees. Through these stories we explore what it means to migrate someplace new, how migration challenges and strains people’s ties to the lands left behind, the function of memory and forgetting, and the difficulty of going “home” again. We'll aim to understand what cultural work these texts are doing, how they do it and how they shape our understanding of migration and return.
