Finding the Light: Photographing with Natural Light

This mid-level course in photography will provide you with a chance to hone your skills using natural light. We’ll briefly look at the history of photography, review + critique work, and have practice sessions using your own camera. You’ll learn tips and tricks to composition, capturing the decisive moment, and finding the natural light. Learning these techniques in this hands-on photography experience will help you develop your own photographic style.

NOTE: Remember to bring your camera, and wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear. 

Instructor: Chaz Mottinger is a professional photographer who works for Indiana University Communications + Pictura Gallery at the FAR Center for Contemporary Arts. Her work can be seen on billboards, ads, and in publications like Limestone Post. Her vast experiences allows her to specialize in various mediums of photography: portraiture, commercial, editorial and event.
