This course offers an immersion in German language and culture. We will navigate the basics of German grammar and vocabulary related to every day experiences. These basic skills are taught within a cultural context and focus on practical applications to daily life. This course aims to give you the skills to engage with the culture, whether you plan on traveling to a German-speaking country in the future, want to satisfy your intellectual craving, or trace your Hoosier roots.

No previous knowledge of German is necessary.

Instructor: Vanessa Domizlaff is a German-American and currently a German teacher at Bloomington High School North. Previously, she served as an adjunct instructor in the German Studies Department at IU. She also teaches other German culture-related courses for IU Lifelong Learning.
