Bowling: The Fundamentals

This class will teach you the history of bowling and the fundamental skills needed to be a lifelong bowler.  You will learn the different games that have existed across time and how bowling was revolutionized by technology. We will also cover proper stretching techniques. Then we will begin to build your skills on the lanes. You will be taught a set of skills that build upon each other to create the ideal approach for your style.  A team tournament to be held on the final day.

See more foundations of bowling, the different type of games that have existed across time and how bowling was revolutionized by technology. We will also cover proper stretching techniques including the difference between static and dynamic stretches. After which we will begin to build your skills on the lanes. During each of the first four classes you will be taught a set of skills that build upon each other to create the ideal approach for your style, build and tempo. This will culminate in a team tournament to be held on the fifth and final day of the course.

Instructor:
Ryan Clemons has had a lifelong passion for the sport of bowling having spent the last 15 years of his life working in, coaching and teaching the sport of bowling both at the youth and collegiate levels. Ryan is a USBC Bronze and Team Certified Coach and has more than a 1000 hours of direct instructional experience. Ryan served 3 years as an Assistant Coach for the Robert Morris (Peoria) Women's NCAA Bowling Team and has been an active youth instructor for more than 15 years. Ryan serves as the General Manager of IMU Bowling and Billiards, is a USBC Registered Volunteer and is CPR/AED/First Aid certified.
